Within Pinal
County there are two classifications of case types.
There are IV-D cases and Non IV-D cases. Determining
your case type will direct you to the correct office
to assist you with your support payment inquiries.
Please read below to determine your case
type
IV-D Case

If
you have a child support case with
the Arizona Department of Economic
Security Division of Child Support
Enforcement and you have a case
manager assigned to your case and
you have or are currently receiving
state assistance such as ACCESS,
TANF or Food Stamps your case is
a IV-D case. IV-D cases are assigned
to the County Attorney Support Enforcement
Division. You may reach your case
manager in the County Attorney Support
Enforcement Division at 520-866-6615.
Non IV-D Case

If
child support or spousal support
is ordered through a divorce, custody
or paternity case and is not being
enforced by the County Attorney
Support Enforcement Division, your
case is a Non IV-D case. You may
contact the Pinal County Clerk of
the Superior Court Child Support/Spousal
Support Financial Department at

[+] Where do I file the Order of Protection Packet?
|

- You will need to come as early as possible, try to come no later than 2:00 pm. This will allow the Court enough time to process your request.
- PLEASE NOTE: The Court is trying to schedule in your Order of Protection within a Judges existing scheduled hearings. Processing an Order of Protection is at least a 2-3 hour process.

[+] Helpful Information when filing out your forms
|
- Please make sure your forms are typed or filled out in BLACK INK ONLY.
- All documents must be legible.
- For all pleadings and other papers filed, other than printed forms, shall be clearly handwritten or typewritten on one side of the document.
- The body of all documents shall be double spaced and shall not exceed 28 lines per page, except for headings, quotations and footnotes which may be single spaced. Documents shall be on white, opaque, unglazed paper MEASURING 8 - ½ INCHES X 11 INCHES, with a top margin of 2 INCHES; a top margin of each subsequent page of not less than 1 - 1/2 inches; a left-hand margin of not less than 1 inch; a right-hand margin of not less than 1/2 inch; and a margin at the bottom of the page of not less than 1/2 inch.

[+] Helpful Information Prior to Submitting your Forms to the Court
|
- The Order of Protection Forms must be submitted in our main office located at 971 Jason Lopez Circle, Bldg A, Florence AZ 85132. Protective Orders are not accepted at any of our Satellite Office Locations.
- When filing emergency documents in the Court please be prepared to wait, this is a lengthy process.
- The Court asks that you do not bring children, they are not allowed in the Courtroom.
- If you come later than 3:00 pm, the Court may not complete the processing of your emergency request, therefore you may need to return the next business day.
- You may have a hearing and appear before the Judge, no shorts or flip flops please dress appropriate.

WHAT IS SUPPORT PAYMENT CLEARINGHOUSE?

- Clearinghouse is the payment processing center for the State of Arizona.
- Clearinghouses’ services are limited. Their primary duty is to process payments for child support and spousal support. Clearinghouse does not enforce support payments.
- Customers may contact Clearinghouse through their automated phone system to check the status of the last payment applied to their case:

HOW CAN I REQUEST AN AUDIT/ARREARAGE CALCULATION
ON MY CASE?

- The Superior Court Child Support Financial Team will only accept audit/arrearage calculation request for Non IV-D cases only. For a definition of a Non IV-D case, return to the Child Support/Spousal Support Main page.
- The non-custodial parent (NCP), custodial parent (CP), attorney for either party or the State IV-D agency, may at any time request a review of the debts by the Child Support/Spousal Support Financial Team.
- As of August 1, 1999, any request for an arrearage calculation must be in writing and must include pertinent information to assist in the identification and location of the proper court file.
- The arrearage calculation request form will be reviewed and an audit prepared in the order it is received. Once the arrearage calculation is complete, you will receive a status report that will include only outstanding balances, fees and any interest that may be due.
- If you disagree with our determination, you may call the team supervisor, who will explain any misunderstanding that may have occurred and the procedures used to calculate the accrued arrearage. You may contact our office at 520-866-5321.
- Due to high volume arrearage requests, if after (6) weeks, you have not received the results of your inquiry; please feel free to contact the Child Support/Spousal Support Financial Team at 520-866-5321.

[+] Pursuant to ARS 12-284 subsection A Class E, a fee may be assessed as follows:

- A letter of arrearage determination (only contains current balance information) must include a self-addressed stamped envelope, there is no fee.
- A complete copy of arrears calculation including a payment history is $27.00, must include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
- A complete copy of arrears calculation including a payment history is $27.00, to certify the payment history there is an additional fee of $27.00, for a total of $54.00 and must include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

HOW CAN I REQUEST A PAYMENT HISTORY ON MY CASE?

- A payment history will reflect all payments posted to your case.
- If you have a child support case with the Arizona Department of Economic Security Division of Child Support Enforcement and you have a case manager assigned to your case and you have or are currently receiving state assistance such as ACCESS, TANF or Food Stamps your case is a IV-D case. You may request a payment history at no charge through the Pinal County Attorney Child Support Enforcement Division at 520- 866-6615.
- If child support or spousal support is ordered through divorce, custody or a paternity case and is not being enforced by the County Attorney Child Support Enforcement Division your case is a Non IV-D case and you may request a payment history through Pinal County Clerk of the Superior Court Child Support/Spousal Support Financial Department.

SIGN UP FOR MANDATORY ELECTRONIC PAYMENT CARD OR
DIRECT DEPOSIT

For security purposes
Clearinghouse has
mandated that checks

mailed to the custodial
parent (person receiving
payment). To receive
all child support
and spousal support
payments the custodial
parent must sign
up for the Electronic
Payment Card or
Direct Deposit.
The custodial parent
(CP), the person
receiving the support
payment, must chose
Electronic Payment
Card (EPC Card)
or Direct Deposit
to receive their
support payment.

- The Electronic Payment Card is issued from Clearinghouse through Chase Bank. The Clerk of the Superior Court has no affiliation with the mailing of the card or fees applied when used at non DCSE approved locations.
- At the time the card is issued Chase Bank will provide the custodial parent a pamphlet containing instructions and a listing of approved locations for use of the card.
- Fees will not be applied when the EPC card is used at approved locations. When the EPC Card is used at unapproved locations fees will be applied.
- When applying for the card, it will take up to 4 to 6 weeks before payments are sent to your Child Support Card account (EPC Card). Until that time, you will continue to receive your child support checks by mail.
- After a Direct Deposit Request is received, it will take up to 4 to 6 weeks before payments are sent to your bank by direct deposit. Until that time, you will continue to receive your child support checks by mail.
- To apply for an EPC card please click on the form below. You will print the form then mail the completed form and required documents to the address provided on the form.

- Your support payment will go through direct deposit. It will be deposited into one account only, which can be a savings or checking account.
- When applying for Direct Deposit into your checking account you are required to submit a completed Electronic Payment Authorization/Direct Deposit form with an attached voided check from your checking account or a letter from your banking institution reflecting your name and account information.
- When applying for Direct Deposit into your savings account you are required to submit a completed Electronic Payment Authorization/Direct Deposit form and a voided deposit slip or a letter from your financial institution reflecting your name on the account with routing and account numbers.
- There are no fees to apply for direct deposit.
- After a Direct Deposit Request is received, it will take up to 4 to 6 weeks before payments are sent to your bank by direct deposit. Until that time, you will continue to receive your childr support checks by mail.
