Pinal County Planning & Development Department, Addressing is responsible for assigning physical addresses to houses, manufactured homes, businesses, wells and other uses. Assigned addresses may or may not be the same as a mailing address.
The primary goal of addressing is to make a location findable for 911. The address not only benefits the residents and businesses but is also used by other departments such as: Building Safety, Assessor’s Office, US Post Office and in coordination between Cities (which do their own addressing) and the County. Addressing is also a vital part of the census information and mapping for GIS data.
Addressing also researches and corrects inaccurate address information provided by citizens and 911 feedback.
