Exceptional Events Resource Page

The March, 2007 "Treatment of Data Influenced by Exceptional Events" final rule provides air quality agencies the opportunity to flag air quality National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) exceedance data associated with "exceptional events" and request EPA to concur with the flag and exclude the data for compliance with the NAAQS.

One of the requirements of the rule is to provide the public an opportunity to review and comment on the air quality agency's documentation. This webpage satisfies that requirement. If you have any questions or comments please contact Scott Dibiase with Pinal County Air Quality via email or phone (520) 866-6929.
