The Building Safety Department provides inspection, plan review and investigative services to the unincorporated areas of the county and also to those cities that have entered into intergovernmental agreements (IGA) with the county to provide building code services. The department also provides plan review and inspection services for county construction projects.

It is the mission of the Building Safety Department to create a safe environment for the citizens of Pinal County through public service oriented application of the International Building Codes. We have adopted the International Building Codes, which enhances our goal of applying building codes in a manner consistent with the majority of building departments throughout the country.
