Florence, AZ – Timothy Shane Dickey, was sentenced Friday, Aug. 10, 2012 to 15.75-years in prison for transportation of methamphetamine for sale, a dangerous drug. He was convicted by a Pinal County Jury on July 5, 2012.
“The fight against drugs is never ending; we will continue to wage it with the help of our law enforcement partners,” said James P. Walsh, Pinal County Attorney and Pinal County Substance Abuse Council Chairman. “Drug dealers better think twice before selling drugs in our county.”
Dickey, 34, a Coolidge resident was indicted on three felony charges last December. The first count was transportation of methamphetamine, a class 2 felony, the second was possession of methamphetamine for sale a class 2 felony and the third was possession of drug paraphernalia, a class 6 felony. The crimes took place in Florence in November 2011.
He was also sentenced to 10 years for possession of methamphetamine for sale and 3.75 years for possession of drug paraphernalia.
The investigation and resulting arrest was conducted by the Florence Police Department.
The sentencing took place before Superior Court Judge Boyd Johnson.
