Vice Chairman Smith to Host State/County Legislative & Policy Update

Meet & Ask Questions of State, County Elected Officials at Community Forum

MARICOPA, AZ – Pinal County Board of Supervisors’ Vice Chairman Anthony Smith is hosting an event on Saturday, August 24 from 10 AM to noon in Arizona City for members of the public to meet their state and county elected officials.

Smith plans to emcee the event during which state legislators and county elected officials will give a brief update to the public, followed by a question and answer session and closing remarks.

“I hosted a similar event back in April as it was well-attended and informative. Even if you’re not following politics, the people you sent into office with your votes want to hear from you and provide an update on what they’ve been doing,” Vice Chairman Smith said. “This is a very large legislative and county district. This forum will give you an opportunity to come face-to-face with lawmakers and county public officials.”

The event is free, non-partisan and open to the public. Senator Al Melvin, Representative Steve Smith and Representative Adam Kwasman have confirmed attendance. Smith is inviting all of Pinal County’s elected officials to participate alongside the state legislators. So far, Treasurer Dodie Doolittle, Clerk of the Superior Court Chad Roche and School Superintendent Jill Broussard have confirmed attendance.
