Vegetation clearing along Cox Road Nears Completion

FLORENCE – To reduce the chance of storm flooding on Cox Road, Pinal County Public Works crews have been working on a regular biennial clearing of vegetation along the east side of road between McCartney Road and Woodruff Road.

A backup of storm water has occurred in this area in previous years, due to debris catching in the vegetation and backing up water onto the road. This creates a hazard for traffic and causes erosion problems on the road.

β€œIt may not seem like such a huge job, but in the end this will provide drivers an added level of safety when the monsoon storms hit,” said Public Works Director Louis Andersen.
