Library Launches New Interactive Website

FLORENCE, AZ – The Pinal County Library District today launched its new, interactive website featuring audience-specific content in an easy-to-use format.  Members of the public can view the new site at www.pinalcountyaz.gov/library

The site features content pages dedicated to kids and teens as well as job search help, reader resources, book reviews and even features downloadable audio books and links to free e-books.  Some areas require users to have a valid Pinal County library card but other areas are free to browse without a card.
 
  • Books & Media tab – Features book reviews, reading lists, talking books for children, and downloadable audio books. 
  • Job Help tab – Includes links to various employment-related sites, career assessment tools, research and tutoring tools.
  • Library News tab – Offers announcements and news about library locations and a calendar of upcoming programs.
  • Kid Zone tab – Features games, homework help, kid-friendly online libraries in a fun and entertaining user interface.
  • Teens tab – Geared specifically to today’s teen, this part of the main website also offers homework help, a teen library blog and features titles geared to the teen audience.

Up at the top of the site there are tabs to help users quickly find library locations, research tools, reader resources and more.  An additional feature is that users can search the catalog from any page using the convenient search box.

New features also include book club kits to help friends and neighbors get a book club started.  There are also ways users can suggest a purchase if the library does not have a particular author or book title.
Visit the Pinal County Library District site at www.pinalcountyaz.gov/library or stop in at one of the district’s 12 library locations.  All of Pinal County’s library locations feature public wireless connections and personal computers that may be used by library guests.
