Bill and his wife, Lynn, live in the Tucson area and are proud members of the Desert Bluegrass Association, the Arizona Bluegrass Association and the Arizona Old Time Fiddler’s Association.
Bill enjoys playing banjo while his wife, Lynn, enjoys playing bass and fiddle. Bill has produced two banjo CD’s, “Pickin’ On The Porch” and “The Good, The Bad And The Ugly Banjo Of Bill Breen.” Several of the cuts from his CD’s have been aired on Tucson’s
community radio station, KXCI.
In addition to M.C.’ing this festival, Bill also M.C.’s the Tucson Bluegrass Festival, the Wickenburg Four Corner States Bluegrass Festival and Fiddle Championship, the Benson Bluegrass Festival, the White Mountain Bluegrass Festival and the Arizona
State Fiddle Championships in Payson.
Bill retired in 2001 from the Arizona Department of Public Safety as a Lieutenant in their Criminal Investigations Bureau. His law enforcement career has spanned 28 years of service to the people of Arizona.
In addition to bluegrass music, Bill stays busy as a flight instructor (He owns his own airplane) and does casino security consulting (He is an award-winning magician, an expert with a deck of cards, and a recognized authority on crooked gambling and
cheating).
