Proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment to Reflect Approved Water Element of Comprehensive Plan
The Pinal County Board of Supervisors will be holding a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Pinal County Zoning Ordinance. This amendment will reflect new language in the Water Element of the Comprehensive Plan, which was approved by the Board in October 2011. This new language was based on recommendations from the Water Element Citizen Task Force, which is described below. The amendment is part of the overall Zoning Ordinance amendment, which is in Case PZ-C-007-10.
This meeting will be held in the Administration Building "A" at the Florence Complex on:

Water Element Citizen Task Force
The Task Force made recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on the matter of the Water Element in the Comprehensive Plan:
7.2.5.1 Further explore the relationship between: applications for zoning or rezoning, demonstrations of physically available water supplies (i.e. groundwater supplies), the Certifications of Assured Water Supplies process, the use of existing hydrological studies and / or Will – Serve – Letters from water utilities / providers. Explore the availability of renewable water resources impacting future growth / development in preparation for submittal of a Comprehensive Plan Amendment for the 2011 Comprehensive Plan Amendment process.
