Vital Records General Information

Pinal County Office of Vital Records issues certified birth certificates for Arizona births from 1950 – present. Pinal County Office of Vital Records issues certified death certificates for any death that occurred in Arizona after January 27, 2008.  If you need a certified birth or death certificate prior to these dates, you must contact the State Office of Vital Records in Phoenix. If you need a certified copy of a birth or death certificate from another state, you must contact that state's vital records office.

Note:  For corrections/amendments to records you must be in the office by 5 p.m.

Paternity/Amendment/Correction Information
The process to make changes to a birth or death certificate varies depending on the type of legal change needed and how recently the record was filed.  You may want to call before coming into one of our office’s to find out if the change can be made and if so, what documentation will be required.

Note:  The average processing time for an application submitted through mail is 1 to 3 business days from the date the application is received by Pinal County Office of Vital Records.

Fees:
$20 per certified copy of death or birth certificate
$30 for corrections/changes (first certificate, any additional certificates are $20.00)

We accept cash (presented in person), check or money order.

We do not handle Marriage/divorce or court records.  Please contact the Clerk of the Superior Court in which the event took place.
