Laura Dean-Lytle was first elected to the position of Pinal County Recorder in 2000.
She was originally appointed to the position January 1, 1999 by the Pinal County
Board of Supervisors following the retirement of Recorder, Kathleen C. Felix. Laura’s
years of service with Pinal County began in 1983 with the Assessor's office prior
to joining the Recorder's office in 1997 as Chief Deputy Recorder.
Continued educational pursuits include graduation from Arizona State University’s
Certified Public Manager Program and Southwest Leadership Certification Program
through the University of Arizona. Continued education includes on-going classes
at Pinal County’s Central Arizona College. She is an Arizona State Election Officer
through the Arizona Secretary of State’s certification program.
Community and professional affiliations commitments for Laura include the title
of Past President of the Arizona Association of County Recorders, she will hold
the office of President of the Arizona Association of Counties for 2006. Laura is
a Past President of Soroptimist Int. of Apache Jct., formerly Vice President of
Northern Pinal County’s Community Alliance Against Family Abuse (CAAFA) Board of
Directors, currently a member of the Auxiliary Board of Directors of the Boys and
Girls Club of the East Valley-Apache Jct. Branch, a member of Florence Rotary, previously
1st Vice President of the Pinal County Democratic Party, currently an elected Democratic
Precinct Committee Person and has been involved in different committees for the
City of Apache Junction.
A Pinal County resident since 1975, Laura and husband, Jerry Lytle reside in Apache
Junction. Daughters Michelle and Sherry with their respective families also make
the Apache Junction-Gold Canyon area their home.
