On Dec. 15, 2007, Deputy Mark Terry was dispatched to a residence in the Queen Creek area in reference to a possible suicide. Deputy Terry was the first to arrive on scene. The garage was filled with carbon monoxide and Deputy Terry started compressions on an adult male lying on the floor. Then Deputy Terry discovered a child in the garage. He was able to find a pulse, but the child was blue and not breathing. Deputy Terry administered reparations to the child, who responded by taking a big breath. The child was turned over to EMS and is doing well today.
