Sheriff Babeu,

I live at Leisure Valley R. V. Park and Tuesday evening, Feb. 3rd, one of our residents, Nelda Owens passed away. Officer Chaote was in attendance and was most respectful of Jean's daughter's and friends' feelings. I really appreciate Officer Chaote being there. I got to Jean's house approximately 30 minutes after she had passed away and was impressed with the way Office Chaote handled himself.

I would certainly hope that you would mention this thanks at role call (Hill Street Blues) if that is still the term that is used.

Congratulations on your new position as Sheriff and I applaud your directions in re-designing your department.

If every officer would be like Office Chaote this would be the perfect Sheriff's Department.
