Dear Sheriff Babeu:
On behalf of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Casa Grande Valley, and specifically our Arizona City Branch, I would like to personally thank you for partnering with our organization on our Match The Members campaign. Your continued generosity and support are greatly appreciated by our organization. I am happy to report that as a result of your letter, we received 35 donations totaling $1,400!
2009 has been a busy year for our organization. Over the past year, our organization has served over 3,600 young people with our after-school and summer programs; youth sports leagues; and our outreach events. At the beginning of the year, our organization examined the youth-related needs within our community. Based on this review, we started two new programs- our Friday night Teen Program at the Promenade Mall, and offering SMART Moves (a nationally acclaimed alcohol and drug prevention education program) in the elementary school district. I am pleased to report that our Friday Night Teen Program continues to be a success, and it has served as a stepping stone for us to offer additional teen programs. Currently, we also run two nights of Open Gym each week. SMART Moves has also been very successful. Currently, we are offering this program in three third grade classes at Toltec Elementary School. We will offer the program to the remaining three classes at Toltec next quarter. We are very pleased with the results that we have seen from this program, as is the school district. At the end of this school year (and before they enter middle school) every 3rd grade student will have participated in this program.
As you can see, our organization has been very busy over the past year. We are able to offer these new programs because of the support that we receive from caring supporters like you. Again, thank you for writing the request letter. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 520-876-5437. I look forward to working with you again.
Thank you for continuing to partner with us in our efforts to be “The Positive Place for Kids!”
