News: 2011 PCSO Holiday Drive Takes Off

FLORENCE, Ariz. - The 2011 Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Holiday Drive is in full swing. The goal each year is to help families within the county needing assistance the means to give their children a great holiday.

The current inventory at the Sheriff’s Office in Florence provides something for both boys and girls of all ages.

A number of organizations and individuals have stepped up by providing items for this year’s drive as well as donations of cash.

On 12-08-2011 representatives from Corrections Corporation of America dropped off several bags of toys that were gathered and donated by volunteers. In addition to the toys and three brand new children’s bikes, CCA also presented Sheriff Paul Babeu with a check for $550.00 to help support the effort.

Sheriff Babeu stated, “We are grateful to everyone who has helped make this year’s holiday drive a huge success. Our goal is to ensure families in Pinal County get the help they may need this season. We couldn’t do it without the selfless support from individuals and organizations, both here in Pinal County and elsewhere.”
