Sgt. Dave Hausman is the Supervisor of the Robbery – Homicide Unit, and Cpl. Bob Barton is the field Supervisor of the unit, with Executive Secretary Rosina Marr managing the administration portion of the unit. The unit consists of four Robbery-Homicide detectives (one position is currently vacant) who investigate any questionable death, such as obvious murder, suicide and any unattended death which Patrol Supervisors request an investigation on, all child deaths and robberies as defined in the Arizona Refined Statutes, which include car jacking, home invasion and armed robbery.

The unit currently has two Cold Case investigators who continue to investigate cases that are 3 years or older, unresolved homicide cases. These Detectives follow up evidence which was unable to be processed at the time, including DNA evidence which was not available due to technology, locate and interview subjects who could not be located at the time, and review all items involved in the case for additional avenues of investigation.
