The Administrative Division maintains all the personnel records of Posse members and provides manpower for office, clerical and record keeping functions for the Sheriff’s Office. This division also includes some of the instructors that teach in the Posse Academy.

The Operations Division includes all the members who log hours in the field for special events, patrol duties and call-outs by the Sheriff.

Training Division members provides a substantial amount of the training in our Basic Posse Academy, during monthly meetings and in the field training function as well as in the annual re-certification areas such as CPR and First Aid.

The Specialty Duty Division has citizens who focus in one area of service. The two largest sections of this division are the Search and Rescue section and the Mounted Posse section. The search and rescue section uses the Superstition Search and Rescue unit and the Sonoran Rescue unit to provide the more technical aspects of this function.
