Besides the support provided to the regular certified officers, the Posse has provided thousands of hours of community support in emergencies. In 2002, the Posse contributed more than 350 hours of service at the Oracle Fire site. Call-outs for search and rescue duties, to help secure crime scenes and for fire locations are usual. In addition, the Posse annually provides thousands of hours at events like Country Thunder, the county fair, rodeos and National Night Out activities.
Posse members find that they are now increasingly called upon to assist in certain law enforcement functions as their experience and training increase in those specialty areas.
