The Pinal County Sheriff's Posse is an elite group of community members assembled by the Sheriff to assist in maintaining law and order. The Sheriff's Posse operates under the direction of the Community Services Bureau Lieutenant Tamatha Villar and Law Enforcement Programs Director Rod Johnston. 
 
The Pinal County Sheriff's Posse assist with numerous events and functions supported by the Sheriff's Office such as event security, crime scene security, traffic control/direction, scene management during disasters, assisting deputies on patrol, transportation of prisoners and other areas of service where support to the Sheriff's Office is requested.
