The Sheriff’s Mounted Unit is a mixed unit of civilian volunteers and deputies providing service while riding horseback. The PCSO Mounted Unit can be seen at public events, patrolling duties and keeping the peace. Volunteers must have their own mount, tack and equipment. Extensive training is required of both horse and rider.
