The Pinal County Sheriffs Office is hosting a Heroes Run for Dakota, a 5K race in San Tan Valley helping 8-year-old Dakota and her family. The Pinal County Sheriffs Office, Rural Metro Fire, Southwest Ambulance and Banner Ironwood Medical Center invite you and your family to run or walk for this great cause.
The 5K race will be held March 30th, 2013 at Banner Ironwood Medical Center Located at 3700 N. Gantzel Road, San Tan Valley, AZ 85140. Registration opens at 8:00am, with the run or walk starting at 9:00 am. The Heroes Run for Dakota is a family oriented event; there will be a 5K Run or walk route, as well as a 100 yard Dash for kids 10 and under.
Proceeds of this event will support 8 year old Dakota Clark and her family with their mounting medical expenses. You may remember her story from recent media coverage when thieves stole her donations jars from Walgreens throughout San Tan Valley. Participating in the Heroes Run for Dakota is a great way to help support her and her family.
Please also remember that if running is not your thing, you can show your support by becoming a Spirit Runner. Spirit Runners pay the registration cost, receive a t-shirt, and enjoy the party at the Banner Ironwood Medical Center race site.
