ONLINE BANKING PAYMENTS

If you use online banking or a bill pay website to pay bills it's now faster and easier to pay property taxes. Payment must be scheduled to ensure that it is received in our office by the due date shown on the tax bill to avoid late penalties (process and terms and conditions varies by online banking or bill pay website provider). It is important to identify the "payee" as Pinal County Treasurer and your 10 digit parcel number (located on the tax bill) in the "Account Number" field.

 Department Description

Tax bill information is provided to the public and the Treasurer is responsible for the collection and distribution of the personal and real property taxes levied by the county and various taxing entities including the community college, school districts, fire districts, sanitary districts, water and irrigation districts, various improvement districts, flood control districts and cities.

The Treasurer offers delinquent taxes for purchase at a Tax Lien Sale in February that increases the revenue from unpaid delinquent taxes. The 2014 Tax Lien Sale was held on February 20, 2014.

The Treasurer Oversees the process of deeding property to the State of Arizona for parcels with seven years delinquent taxes. A successful deed requires a title search of all interested parties, notification by certified mail to the property owner and anyone holding an interest in the property, advertising in a local newspaper and posting parcels within the city limits.

 Mission Statement

Our mission is to go beyond the statutory requirements to provide data that is accurate and readily accessible to taxpayers and constituents.    The Treasurer has the responsibility for investing county monies while maintaining liquidity to conduct business on a daily basis.
