Audit Committee

The Pinal County Audit Committee serves to strengthen the independence, integrity and effectiveness of audit activities by providing independent oversight and support of the internal audit work plan and assessing audit resource needs. The committee also helps ensure audit results are adequately communicated and that recommended improvements or corrective actions are addressed appropriately. Committee members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors.

Members

Brenda Hasler (Maricopa) - Chair

Ms. Hasler serves as the Financial Services Director for the City of Maricopa, Arizona and is a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to this position, she was Senior Accountant for the City of Chandler for 5 1/2 years. She has 15 years of audit experience with the Arizona Office of the Auditor General. Attended Southern Oregon State College where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Speech.

 

Celina Morris (Casa Grande)

Mrs. Morris currently serves as the Finance Director for the City of Casa Grande. As the Chief Fiscal Officer and City Treasurer, Mrs. Morris oversees the City’s finance and information technology services. Mrs. Morris has over 25 years of finance and accounting experience in the public and private sectors. She has held several executive leadership positions as Director of Finance, Director of Risk Management, and Corporate Controller for various entities. Mrs. Morris was also an auditor for Deloitte and Touche and KMPG. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.


 

Joe Jarvis (Florence)

Mr. Jarvis has worked as the Finance Director for the Town of Florence since January 2017. Previously he worked for the City of Globe as their Finance Director and as a Budget Analyst for Broward County, Florida. He earn a Master’s in Public Administration from Arizona State University.

Matt Busby (Apache Junction) - Vice-Chair

Mr. Busby currently serves as the Assistant City Manager for the City of Apache Junction, Arizona. He has been with the city for almost 10 years. In this role he oversees the day-to-day operations of the city, including oversight of the annual budget process and the finance department. Prior to working for the city, he was a staff member of the Arizona State Legislature’s Joint Legislative Budget Committee. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Brigham Young University and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Arizona. Mr. Busby was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona and is a 5th generation Arizonan. He currently resides in Apache Junction with his wife and two children.

Todd Pryor (Superior)

Mr. Pryor currently serves as the Town Manager for the Town of Superior since January 2016. As the Town Manager, Mr. Pryor is accountable for overseeing day-to-day operations of the town; including planning, prioritizing, budgeting and problem solving. Prior to holding this position, Mr. Pryor held the position of Fire Operations Chief for the Superior Fire Department.
