Pinal County Residents Encouraged to Take Transit System Study
Date: 6/27/2014
FLORENCE – Pinal County’s Public Works Department asks residents to participate in a transit system study being offered by the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) and Valley Metro.
This joint study by the two agencies seeks to understand citizen viewpoints about a potential transit system that would operate in the Southeast Valley.  This area includes: Apache Junction, Chandler, Florence, the Gila River Indian Community, Gilbert, Guadalupe, Maricopa, Mesa, Phoenix, Queen Creek, Tempe and the surrounding portions of Maricopa and Pinal Counties.
“This is an important study for the future of transit in the northern and central portion of Pinal County,” said Pinal County Public Works Director Louis Andersen.  “I’m hoping that people will take the time to fill it out and tell MAG and Valley Metro their viewpoints on a potential public transit system in Pinal County.”
