Pinal Airpark Master Plan Draft Report Available for Public Review and Comment
Date: 7/3/2014

Pinal County continues the process to prepare an Airport Master Plan for Pinal Airpark (Airpark).  The draft Existing Conditions and Needs Report (report) is complete and available for public review and comment at  The report focuses on three major topics including existing Airpark conditions, forecast of aviation activity and selection of a design aircraft, and facility requirements or necessary improvement/upgrades to accommodate existing and future demand.

The primary goal of an Airport Master Plan is to determine the extent, type, and schedule of development needed to accommodate existing and future aviation demand at an airport. Required by the Federal Aviation Administration and the Arizona Department of Transportation, the Master Plan will serve two important functions including providing the County with data useful in determining the future role the Airpark will play in the community and region along with serving as a funding tool to guide future Airpark development.

As part of the Master Plan process, Pinal County will hold a public meeting in order to review key findings of the draft report and gain public input.  The public meeting will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. at the Pinal Airpark – Pinal County Offices located on East Pinal Air Park Road, Marana AZ 85653.
