Tortolita Regional Park

Pinal County staff is working to identify potential trail corridors on the east and west side of the Tortolita Mountains within Pinal County.  The original corridors were identified in the Tortolita Mountain Trails Plan developed by Pima County in 2009.  The work being done in Pinal County will allow for possible connections to trail and trailhead development occuring in Pima County, the Town of Marana and the Town of Oro Valley. 

Where: South edge of Pinal County between Interstate 10 and State Route 79


Notable Features:

  • Opportunity to provide trail connectivity and resource protection in partnership with Pima County, the Town of Marana and the Town of Oro Valley on park and trail developments occurring in the entire Tortolita range. 
  • Includes planned regional trail connectivity to the CAP Recreational Trail and Oracle Junction.
  • Opportunity to protect significant pre-historic and historic resources.
