Ocotillo Road Project - Ironwood Dr to Kenworthy Rd
Roadway rehabilitation project will begin on Ocotillo Road between Ironwood Drive and Kenworthy Road on March 18th. Work on the existing 3-lane road is expected to last through the end of July 2019. Project will include lane restrictions and speed reductions.  Please use caution while driving through the work zone and plan for extra drive time due to expected traffic delays.
 
 
Park Link Drive Road Closure
Roadwork paving operations will cause a closure on Park Link Drive from Pecan Road to Cattle Tank Road, beginning Monday March 25, 2019.  Work may last through beginning of April.  A detour route will be provided, drive with caution and be mindful of traffic control.
 
Hunt Highway Phase 4 & Gantzel Road Improvements Project UPDATE

Scheduled for MAR 19 – 22, paving crews will pave the base course (bottom layer) and also the surface course (top layer) of asphalt on Hunt Highway, from Johnson Ranch Boulevard/Gantzel Road through to Magma Road. During this time, and scheduled for MAR 19 - 20, Copper Mine Road will be CLOSED to allow for paving through Hunt Highway at Copper Mine. In addition, during this time electric crews will switch over the traffic signal. During the paving activity, please be prepared for traffic shifts throughout the week to accommodate the work. Both Quartzite and Shops at Copper Basin are scheduled to be open during this time; however traffic will be detoured onto Tourmaline and Judd Roads.

Scheduled for Monday, MAR 25, crews will mill (remove asphalt) and prepare for the paving of Magma Road from Superstition Views to Stardust Drive. To accommodate this work, Magma Road will be CLOSED from Superstition Views to Stardust Drive from MAR 25 - 27. There will be no through traffic permitted; however, Superstition Views will have access to Hunt Highway. Click here for map.

This paving plan is tentative and contingent on favorable weather. If weather prevents an activity from taking place, the dates may change, but the sequence of events will remain the same.

As a reminder, speeds have been reduced through the work zone (25 mph) for the safety of nearby residents, travelers, and construction crews. Please obey traffic signage as it is placed for your safety. Business and resident access is being maintained, and we thank you for your continued patience during this construction.

Gantzel Road Landscaping Work
Median landscape work will take place on Gantzel Road near Chandler Heights Road on March 20th and 21st.  Work will include a speed reduction and lane closures for both directions of travel.  Please use caution when driving through work zone and prepare of possible delays.
 
Utility Work on Hunt Highway and Village Lane
On March 10th utility work will take place during night hours at the intersection of Hunt Highway and Village Lane.  Work is expected to last for two weeks and will include lane closures and a speed reduction for both directions of travel.  Please use caution while driving through work zones.
 
Quartzite Road Closure Due to Hunt Highway Phase 4 Construction

Quartzite Road will be closed for construction with no access to or from Hunt Highway, scheduled to begin Friday, February 15th and last through March 25th.

In addition, crews are working to construct a box culvert under Copper Mine Road. This work is taking place one-half the road at a time so that one lane of traffic in each direction can be maintained on Copper Mine Road.

As a reminder, speeds have been reduced through the work zone (25 mph) for the safety of nearby residents, travelers, and construction crews. Eastbound and westbound lane closures between Meridian Road and Warrior Way for pavement striping work.  December 7th - 30th: 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.

 ‭(Hidden)‬ Information from Town of Queen Creek


Riggs Road to be Completed by Town of Queen Creek and Maricopa County Department of Transportation
The Town of Queen Creek is working in partnership with MCDOT to complete Riggs Road from Ellsworth Road to Meridian Road.  The new, two-lane roadway will serve as a major access point for the south east portion of Town, and will help improve transportation throughout Queen Creek.
