Palo Verde Regional Park Alternative Descriptions and Comment Form
Four alternatives have been developed using the data analysis, inventory, recreation needs assessment, working group input and comments received at Public Meeting #1 and #2. As part of the planning and public involvement process, the alternatives were presented to the working group for review and at Public Meeting #3 on June 7, 2016 as part of the planning and public involvement process.
The alternatives range from Alternative A - No Action, to progressively increasing levels of change, active recreation opportunities, amenities, and development for Alternatives B, C, and D. Alternatives B, C, and D are compatible with the Open Space and Trails Department’s mission “to provide outdoor leisure, recreation, environmental, cultural, and natural resource management services to Pinal County residents and visitors so they can have access to, understanding, and enjoyment of the natural assets of Pinal County.” However, Alternative A would not be compatible in that as a no action plan, Pinal County would provide no outdoor leisure, recreation, environmental, cultural, and natural resource management services. The study area would remain under BLM management. The information presented below is identical to what was presented at Public Meeting #3 on June 7, 2016.
Alternative A - No Action
Alternative B - Minimal Change
Alternative C - Moderate Change
Alternative D - Most Change
Please use the comment form below for any comments related to the four presented alternatives.
Public Comments will be accepted through Friday July 15, 2016, Thank You!
