Utility Work on Combs Road
​Development related utility work will take place on Combs Rd east of Gantzel Rd on November 20th and 21st.  Work will include a lane closure for westbound travel.  Please use caution while driving through work zones.
 
Heavy Haul Work on Ironwood Drive for Material Dumping
​Heavy haul work for dumping material along east side of Ironwood Drive will start November 6th. The traffic signal at Germann Road & Ironwood Drive will operate in flash mode with off duty Sheriff intermittently stopping north and south traffic for eastbound heavy equipment vehicles on Germann Road entering Ironwood Drive. This portion of the project may last a month. Please use caution while driving through work zone and consider alternate routes due to possible delays.
 
Queen Valley Phase Two Flood Mitigation Project
Channel grading improvements will start on Sharon Drive October 16th. Sharon Drive at the Queen Creek wash will be reduced to one travel lane during construction of the box culvert with a temporary traffic signal alternating north and south bound traffic through the construction area. Work is estimated to last through April 13, 2018. Please use caution while driving in work zone.
 
Battaglia Road and Overfield Road Improvement Work
Work will take place at the intersection of Battaglia Rd and Overfield Rd to install a box culvert and additional improvements. Work is planned to start Monday, November 27th and will last about three to four months. Overfield will be closed from Battaglia Road to Sandy Lane.  Traffic on Battaglia Road will be reduced to one lane. Please use caution while driving through work zone.
 
Eagle Crest Ranch Blvd Utility Work
​Development related utility work will take place on Eagle Crest Ranch Blvd beginning November 6th.  Work is expected to last two weeks and will include a speed reduction and lane closures/lane restrictions for both directions of travel.  Please use caution while driving through work zone.
 
Utility Work on Hunt Highway
Development related utility work will continue on Hunt Highway from Thompson Rd to Gary Rd throughout the month of November.  Work will include a speed reduction and a lane closure for southbound travel.  Please use caution while driving through work zones.
 
Utility Work on Hunt Highway South of Gary Road
Development related utility work will take place on Hunt Highway south of Gary Rd on Saturday November 18th.  Work will include a speed reduction and a lane closure for southbound travel.  Please use caution while driving through work zones.
 
Lane Restriction for Intersections Along Hunt Highway
Set up for lane restrictions will begin on October 30th at the intersections of Johnson Ranch Boulevard and Magma Road off of Hunt Highway. Major irrigation improvements are planned to begin November 1st around the new Magma canal. The lane restrictions will assist in preparation for equipment to safely move about for the continuation of the project.  Lane restrictions may last through the end of November.  Please drive with caution through work zones. 
 
Various Utility Work To Begin For Hunt Highway Phase 4 Widening
Several utilities will begin work on relocating facilities for the widening of Hunt Highway Phase 4 between Bella Vista Road and Magma Road.  Work is slated to begin on September 5th and may last until the end of December.  Please use caution while driving through the work zone and expect minor delays.

Combs Road
Eastbound and westbound lane closures between Meridian Road and Warrior Way for pavement striping work.  December 7th - 30th: 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.

 ‭(Hidden)‬ Information from Town of Queen Creek


Riggs Road to be Completed by Town of Queen Creek and Maricopa County Department of Transportation
The Town of Queen Creek is working in partnership with MCDOT to complete Riggs Road from Ellsworth Road to Meridian Road.  The new, two-lane roadway will serve as a major access point for the south east portion of Town, and will help improve transportation throughout Queen Creek.
