U.P.R.R. Road Closures

Union Pacific Railroad will be doing track maintenance in Pinal County Right-of-Way via permit which will require full closures of some County roadways:

Bella Vista Road – May 1st and May 2nd

Arizona Farms Road - May 6th and May 7th

Martin Road - May 20th and May 21st

Please allow for extra travel time, see enclosed maps for detours in and around planned work areas.

Ocotillo Road Project - Ironwood Dr to Kenworthy Rd
Roadway rehabilitation project will begin on Ocotillo Road between Ironwood Drive and Kenworthy Road on March 18th. Work on the existing 3-lane road is expected to last through the end of July 2019. Project will include lane restrictions and speed reductions.  Please use caution while driving through the work zone and plan for extra drive time due to expected traffic delays.
Water Line Installation Project on Empire Boulevard
The Town of Queen Creek will begin a water line installation project on Empire Boulevard beginning April 15th.  Work is expected to take one month to complete and will cause a closure.  Empire Boulevard will be closed from Crismon Road to Village Lane with no through traffic permitted from Ellsworth Road to Gary Road. Please drive with caution a detour route will be provided.  Allow additional commute time for any possible delays caused by the closure. 
Utility Work Skyline Drive and Gary Road
​Utility work will take place at the intersection of Skyline Drive and Gary Road beginning April 1st. Work will include intermittent lane closures and may last through the end of April.  Please use caution when driving through work zone.
Utility work Hunt Hwy Near Mountain Vista Boulevard
Developer related utility work will take place on Hunt Highway near the Mountain Vista Boulevard intersection on April 18th. Work will include a speed reduction and lane closures for northbound travel. Please use caution when driving through work zone.

 ‭(Hidden)‬ Roadwork Outside County Limits

Combs Road
Eastbound and westbound lane closures between Meridian Road and Warrior Way for pavement striping work.  December 7th - 30th: 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.

 ‭(Hidden)‬ Information from Town of Queen Creek

Riggs Road to be Completed by Town of Queen Creek and Maricopa County Department of Transportation
The Town of Queen Creek is working in partnership with MCDOT to complete Riggs Road from Ellsworth Road to Meridian Road.  The new, two-lane roadway will serve as a major access point for the south east portion of Town, and will help improve transportation throughout Queen Creek.
