Letter From Prescott Fire Department
Date: 9/6/2013
Dear Pinal County Sheriff,
I cannot begin to tell you the impact your overwhelming support has had on the Prescott Fire Department following th e heartbreaking event on June 30.  Losing nineteen of our fire department employees in one tragic incident was devastating enough, but at a time when our city was experiencing a significant number of community events, they would not have been easily managed without the assistance of your firefighters, police officers, and personnel.
As the needs in our community developed following the hours and then days after we lost our firefighters and the situation became so large it took on a life of its own, your agency responded quickly and without hesitation.  The presence of the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, standing shoulder to shoulder with the Prescott Firefighters, provided comfort and support at a time when it was needed most.  I cannot thank your enough for your assistance.
Following the memorial service on Tuesday, July 9, individual funerals took place the remainder of that week and into the weeks to come.  Though it will take a significant amount of time to heal, Prescott can now move forward and continue to provide the quality public safety services it is known for throughout this region.  Having been lifted up by our brothers and sisters of the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, we are stronger than ever.
Again, thank you and may God bless the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
