Letter from Boys & Girls Clubs of Casa Grande Valley
Date: 11/21/2014
On behalf of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Casa Grande Valley, I would like to thank you and the Pinal County Sheriff's Office again for your generous $25,000 grant (and thank you for hand delivering it-as always, I enjoyed your visit last week!). As detailed in our request, these funds will be used to support our Arizona City Branch. The Pinal County Sheriff's Office has been a tremendous partner to our Clubs for more than 15 years (FYI -since 2000, PCSO has donated $157,710 to our organization)- thank you for continuing to support our partnership! Our entire organization appreciates your support!

I would also like to take this opportunity to give you an update on Giovanni Marques, our 2014 Youth of the Year. Giovanni is currently a junior at Mission Heights Preparatory Academy, doing well in school, and a member of their basketball team. He has been a Club Member for over seven years, and currently volunteers at our Main Branch, where he enjoys working with and mentoring the younger Club Members. At our recent Youth of the Year Brunch, Giovanni shared these thoughts about the impact that the Club has had on his life-

"I started coming to the Boys& Girls Club when I was eight years old. I have always loved coming here, because it has been like a home away from home for me- it's a place where I can always find a listening ear and spend time with people who care about me. I was bullied a lot in middle school, and never really felt comfortable there. But when I came to the Club after school, I felt safe. I felt like I belonged there. I was surrounded by friends and by staff who cared about me. The Club definitely has had a huge impact on my life."

Our organization could not serve the youth of Casa Grande and Arizona City like Giovanni without the support we receive from individuals and organizations like you and the Pinal County Attorney's Office. For any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me at 520-876-5437 or Again, thank you for partnering with our organization as we strive to ensure that GREAT FUTURES START HERE.
