Environmental Health officials care about the sanitation and cleanliness of the surroundings of your event. Important issues such as elimination of waste water, requirements for additional porta potties, locations of porta potties, hand washing facilities, and utilization of existing septic or sewer facilities will be addressed in the Special Event Permit review. The coordinator for Environmental Health--Sanitation will be happy to help you plan a healthy and safe location for your event by taking into consideration the following:
- Location and number of porta potties—one porta pottie for every 100 people attending, also a needs accessible porta pottie may be required
- Shower facilities and grey water disposal plan
- Any septic information for site
