Abbott Labs

Casa Grande has been a key manufacturing site for Ross Products since the plant began operations in 1985 and has a workforce of over 400 employees.

Asarco

AsarcoASARCO was organized in 1899 as the American Smelting And Refining Company. Originally a consolidation of a number of lead-silver smelting companies, the Company has evolved over the years into an integrated producer of copper, and other metals. The Company is a fully integrated miner, smelter and refiner of copper in the United States. ASARCO’s domestic mines annually produce approximately 350 - 400 million pounds of copper.

The ASARCO Ray Mine, located on Rt. 177 in far eastern portion of Pinal County, is one of the world's largest open pit copper mines. The mine was started in 1952 by the Kennecott Copper Corporation, on the site of the towns of Ray and Sonora. The mine was purchased by ASARCO in 1986.

The Ray Operations consists of a 250,000 ton/day open pit mine with a 30,000 ton/day concentrator, a 103 million pound/year solvent extraction-electrowinning operation, and associated maintenance, warehouse and administrative facilities. Cathode copper produced in the SX-EW operation is shipped to outside customers and the Asarco Amarillo Copper Refinery.

CCA

CCACorrections Corporation of America (CCA) is a full-service corrections management provider. CCA specializes in the design, construction, expansion and management of prisons, jails and detention facilities, as well as inmate transportation services through its subsidiary company TransCor America. The company is the fourth-largest corrections system in the nation, behind only the federal government and two states.

The company offers offenders a variety of dynamic rehabilitation and education programs, including addictions treatment, GED preparation and testing, post-secondary studies, life skills, employment training, recreational options and work opportunities.

CCA houses approximately 75,000 offenders and detainees in more than 60 facilities, 44 of which are company-owned, with a total bed capacity of more than 80,000. CCA currently partners with all three federal corrections agencies (The Federal Bureau of Prisons, the U.S. Marshals Service and Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and nearly half of all states and more than a dozen local municipalities.

Frito-Lay Casa Grande's more than 350 associates make some of America's favorite snacks including Lay's potato chips, Fritos corn chips, Tostitos tortilla chips, Doritos tortilla chips, Sun Chips and Cheetos cheese-flavored snacks.

The Frito-Lay Company, with global sales estimated at over $4 billion/yearly is the snack food division of PepsiCo, Inc., generating about half of the parent company's revenues and two-thirds of its profits. The division is the world leader in the snack food category and controls more than 35% of the world market and over 60% of the Unites States market.

Stinger Welding

Stinger WeldingStinger Welding is the premier major bridge fabricator in the Southwest. Founded in 1996 and located 2 miles south of Coolidge, AZ on State Rt. 87, Stinger Welding is an AISC certified major bridge fabricator. This facility has the capacity to fabricate and assemble materials ranging in size from inches to 1/3 of a mile long and delivers anything from drainage grates to girders and bridges over 200 feet in length.

Wal-mart Distribution Center

WalmartThe 880,000-square-foot facility is located north of Interstate 8, at the northeast corner of Thornton Road and Peters Avenue in Casa Grande. Construction of the food distribution facility began in 2002 and completed in 2003. The facility employs more than 400 people.

The Casa Grande food distribution center provides Wal-Mart the opportunity to better serve the growing number of Wal-Mart customers in a 3 state area. Wal-Mart, Inc. currently employs more than 25,000 people in Arizona.
