How to start a Tourism Business In Pinal County:

Pinal County does not require a business license if the business is in an unincorporated part of the county.

However, you will need to submit a Business Application and deliver the form in person to: Pinal County Planning and Zoning Department, 31 North Pinal Street, Building F, Florence, AZ. Phone number: 520-866-6442.

In addition to the Business Application Form listed above, we recommend the following steps:

1. If the business is in Pinal County and within an incorporated city/town, you would need to check with the city/town about their business license requirements.
2. If the business is within the unincorporated part of the county, you would need to make sure that the business "fits" the zoning requirements of the business location. Contact Planning & Zoning to find out - 520-866-6442.
3. If the business fits the zoning, as mentioned in #2, you may also want to see if it is allowed per CC&R's of your homeowners association (HOA), assuming you may be in one. If not in an association, this would not be needed.
4. It is also recommended to contact the Arizona State Department of Revenue to find out about the taxes associated with businesses. They can be reached at 602-255-3381 or at www.azdor.gov
5. If you need to register your business name, or research an existing business name, please use the following link to the Arizona Secretary of State webpage. Pinal County does not collect nor register business names, etc. This would be done through the Arizona Secretary of State’s office. The website for this office is: www.azsos.gov
