Pinal County has two areas designated as an Enterprise Zone. Zone #1 encompasses the majority of the County. Zone #2 encompasses a very small portion of downtown Apache Junction only. View more detailed information and a map of the Pinal County Zones
Summary:
The Enterprise Zone provides Property Tax Reduction & Income or Premium Tax Credits for qualified manufacturers and commercial printers. To qualify for Property Tax reductions, a company must have a minimum capital investment amounting from $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. The amount is determined by the area of the county the company is considering for a location.
To qualify for Enterprise Zone tax credits, an employer must pay at least an amount equal to the “wage offer by county” (currently $9.32 for Pinal County and effective until December 31, 2010), as computed annually by the Research Administration unit of the Arizona Department of Commerce, and jobs that qualify for tax credits must be full-time and permanent. The employer must also offer to pay at least 50 percent of health insurance costs for the employee.
