Pinal County to suspend Issuance of Open Burning Permits Beginning April 30, 2022.
Starting April 2nd, Pinal County Air Quality will begin issuing only 3-day open burning permits. All permits will expire by May 1st and Pinal County will suspend the issuance of all open burning permits on April 28th.
Please Note: No open burning is allowed within the Town of Florence. Therefore no open burning permits will be issued within the Town of Florence.
County One-Stop permit offices in Apache Junction and Casa Grande remain closed, therefore, the Department recommends the use of the online permit system to apply for a permit.
Open Burning Permits may be obtained:
1. In-person at the *NEW* Development Services Building, 85 N Florence St, Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM.
In-Person Open Burning Permits will be issued by appointment only. Customers must call the Development Services One-Stop office at (520) 509-3555 to schedule an appointment.
2. In-person at the Mammoth office, 118 Catalina St. Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
3. Online (Recommended method). Customers can apply 24 hours 7 days a week, however permits are only issued Monday–Friday from 8:00–4:30 and many take up to 48 hours to process. Online Permits can be attained at: https://citizenaccess.pinalcountyaz.gov/CitizenAccess/Default.aspx
Burn permits are not approved if:
The application is received by fax or email.
Prohibited materials are requested in the application.
The application is incomplete.
