Pinal County Air Quality

Rulemaking Proposal Summary
Proposed rulemaking - Pinal County Air Quality proposes to amend Ozone Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) rules for surface coatings (Chapter 5, Article 13) and gasoline dispensing facilities (Chapter 5, Article 20) in the Pinal County portion of the 2008 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) nonattainment area. This is a State Implementation Plan (SIP) rulemaking and so Pinal County Code 1-1-105 (non-SIP rule) is also proposing to be amended, to incorporate the changes to Chapter 5, Articles 13 and 20 and request that Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) submitted the adopted rules to EPA for inclusion into the Arizona SIP.
