About Louis Andersen

Mr. Louis Andersen, County Manager, has over 30 years of progressive public sector management experience, and received his Bachelor and MBA from City University in Seattle, Washington. He also completed Kennedy’s Senior Executive Management Program at Harvard University.

Mr. Andersen began his public service career in 1986 upon enlisting in the United States Air Force. In 1993 he began his tenure at the Seattle Housing Authority serving as their Special Services Manager. Beginning in 2003, Mr. Andersen provided direct management support to the Town of Gilbert, Arizona Public Works Department, serving as the Environmental Services Manager. He accepted the position of Director of the Pinal County Public Works Department in 2013 and provided management and leadership support for the Transportation Infrastructure, Engineering Flood Control, Solid Waste Recycling, Airport and Emergency Management divisions. Mr. Andersen was promoted to County Manager on September 1, 2019. The County Manager executes policy decisions by the Board of Supervisors as well as oversees County operations.

Mr. Andersen is married to his wife, Brandy, who is employed by the City of Mesa. He has three children, four dogs and one tortoise.
