Board of Supervisors Non-Profit Grant Program
Each year, the Pinal County Board of Supervisors provides grants through the General Fund to eligible organizations whose projects align with the county’s strategic goals. Projects and organizations should contribute to the county’s cultural, social, and economic vitality by addressing a community need and promoting benefits to the general public as opposed to a special interest or persons.
Contributions may be made to any governmental agency or to a nonprofit corporation which enjoys and maintains federal tax-exempt status as long as all monies are utilized for the purpose determined to be public by the Board. If more than one nonprofit corporation is selected for a fiscal year, the Board shall determine the portion of the money that each will receive.
Eligible applicants must:
- Be federally recognized 501 c 3 or 6 organization;
- Serve Pinal County residents; and
- Submit a complete application by the published due date.
The application acceptance period for this year has closed. A list of the FY 22/23 recipients will be listed as soon as available.

Community Development Block Grant
Each year, the County receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. In the fiscal year 2021-2022, these funds were provided through the CARES act to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus. The following nonprofit agencies were approved to receive funding:

Partner/External Agency Funding Application for Nonprofit Organizations
Reopens a Third Time for a Limited Period
FLORENCE, AZ - Pinal County has reopened the External Agency Fund application process for a third time.
Funding for this extended period is provided through the County’s allocation of Community Development
Block Grant – Coronavirus funding. Projects should be to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the
Coronavirus pandemic. Projects should also provide benefit for low to moderate income persons and
special populations. The Board of Supervisors have indicated funding will be provided to nonprofit
organizations addressing food insecurity.
Here are some highlighted details about the program:
- The Pinal County Board of Supervisors invites nonprofit service providers to apply for fiscal
year 2020/2021 funding for specific projects or programs that provide measurable benefits to
Pinal County residents and address the specified criteria above.
- The anticipated program year will be October 1, 2020 – September 30, 2021.
- For an application, contact the Grants Office at 520-866-6422, send a request to
[email protected], or on the County’s website at pinal.gov/grants.
- The application process will be open August 24, 2020 and close September 18, 2020.
- Return completed applications to the Grants Office at 31 N. Pinal Street, Florence, Arizona

must be received by September 18, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. Incomplete applications will not be
accepted and returned to the applicant.
