About Judge Delana J. Fuller ............................................................................................. DeLana Jacobs Fuller was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended elementary and high school in Clinton, Illinois. She majored in Finance and graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she attended Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. While attending Law School, she worked full time at the Franklin County municipal Court as the Trustee/Escrow Administrator. She received her Juris Doctorate Degree in January 1993. Upon graduating from law school, DeLana returned to Illinois and was admitted to practice law before all trial courts and federal district courts in May of 1993. Soon after, she went to work as an associate for Kofkin, Feld and Korrub located in Chicago, Illinois. Here, she practiced law exclusively in Federal Courts representing consumer and business clients. DeLana was admitted to practice law in Arizona in 1995. She and her husband moved to Chandler, Arizona where she continued practicing in Federal Courts. In late 1999, she accepted a position with McCarville, Cooper and Vasquez, where she worked as an associate. Soon after, she and her family moved to Casa Grande. In March 2003, DeLana established the Law Office of DeLana Jacobs Fuller. She began limiting her practice to the representation of children, victims of serious crimes, and vulnerable adults. In September 2015, DeLana was appointed as Commissioner of the Pinal County Superior Court. She presided over Family Law and Family Law Commissioner Cases until January, 2017. DeLana was then appointed to the Juvenile Court. She currently hears Dependency Cases, including Baby Court.
Awards/Honors: President of the Pinal County Bar, 2003; William T. Birmingham Clinic Services Award, Volunteer Lawyers Program, 1998; Outstanding Service to the Indigent, Lake County Bar Association, 1994; and First Place, National Writing Competition sponsored by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) 1993. | |
