Born:  Tucson, Arizona, 1979

Education:  University of Arizona, Bachelor of Arts, Political Science, Summa Cum Laude and Honors, 2000.  University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, Juris Doctor, 2003.

Legal:  Admitted to practice before Arizona trial and appellate courts, the United States District Court for the District of Arizona, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the District of Columbia Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.  Law Clerk for the Honorable J. William Brammer, Jr., Arizona Court of Appeals, Division Two, 2003-2004.  Office of the Arizona Attorney General, Assistant Attorney General, Criminal Appeals Section, 2004-2007 and Capital Litigation Section, 2007-2010; Unit Chief Counsel, Capital Litigation Section, 2010-2015; Deputy Solicitor General/Section Chief Counsel of Capital Litigation, 2015-2021.  Appointed as Pinal County Superior Court Judge by Governor Doug Ducey on November 2, 2021.

Former Member:  Arizona Supreme Court’s Task Force on Rule 32 of the Arizona Rules of Criminal Procedure; Arizona Attorney General’s Forensic Science Advisory Committee; State Bar of Arizona’s Arizona Attorney Advisory Board; State Bar of Arizona’s Fee Arbitration Committee; Board of Directors of the Association of Government Attorneys in Capital Litigation; Adjunct Professor of Legal Writing at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law; standing member of federal habeas corpus training faculty for the National Association of Attorneys General Training and Research Institute (NAGTRI); standing member of capital litigation/criminal law training faculty for the Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys’ Advisory Council (APAAC).
