Pinal County 2016 Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan
Date: 9/14/2021

The Pinal County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Planning Team Invites Your Input!

Pinal County and the municipalities within the county are working together to review and update the Pinal County 2016 Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The goal of the Hazard Mitigation Plan is to reduce the loss of life and property caused by natural hazards through long-term strategies that will reduce their impact. Strategies that will help keep natural hazards from becoming natural disasters.

Updating our plan is a three-step process. First, the natural hazards most likely to occur in our communities are identified and profiled. Then, our vulnerability to these hazards is assessed. Finally, strategies to protect people and property from these hazards are developed.

The planning team invites businesses, industries, residents, and other interested parties to provide information and comments about potential hazards and suggest mitigation strategies.

You can click here to view the 2016 plan.

To submit your suggestions or comments or to ask questions about the hazard mitigation planning process, contact the planning team at: [email protected]

Your comments and suggestions will help our mitigation efforts reduce the loss of life and property to natural hazards.
