Public Health Director's Most Recent Updates:

  • October 22th Updates

    October 22, 2021 – 2:00 PM

Yesterday evening (10/21/21), the CDC Director signed off on emergency use authorization for COVID-19 booster doses, also allowing for persons to select which type of COVID vaccine they prefer. This means irrespective of which COVID vaccine a person originally received, one can select the same or different type as their booster. The criteria for each type of booster dose differs.

See the news announcement from ADHS this morning: https://azdhs.gov/director/public-information-office/index.php#news-release-102221

To find the location closest to you that is offering COVID-19 booster doses, see: https://www.vaccines.gov/
    or https://www.azdhs.gov/covid19/vaccines/index.php#find-vaccines

If you would like to schedule a booster dose at one of our public health clinics, our Central Appointment Desk at (866) 960-0633 will start accepting calls on Monday, October 25th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As always, thank you for your patience.

The COVID-19 Epi Curve illustrates meaningful data on the progression of an illness in an outbreak over time. The graph includes cases reported up to the previous completed week because, with outbreaks, there is a delay between illness detection, reporting, and confirmation of cases. The chart below displays confirmed COVID Cases in Pinal County. The Epi Curve will be updated on the public health COVID website every Wednesday.

NOTE: Epi weeks are set forth by the CDC, and go from Sunday to Saturday.

Week 40 went from 10/03/2021 to 10/09/2021
