Road Maintenance Vs. Traffic Engineering The Pinal County Public Works is fortunate to have a Road Maintenance division and a Traffic Engineering section to provide various services. Road Maintenance will maintain and repair existing roads, traffic signs, guardrails, cattle guards and bridges. Traffic Engineering maintains traffic signals and roadway striping. They are responsible for various aspects of traffic safety: will tend to new traffic sign requests, collect traffic data like traffic counts and provide information about various ordinances like speed limits, stop signs and school crossings.

Particular timing and a budget is critical for the application of preservation treatments. Such treatments may include but are not limited to Chip Seal, Crack Seal, Fog Seal, Rejuvenator, Slurry Seal, and Microsurfacing.
