PCSO ARRESTS ARIZONA CITY MAN FOR SELLING METH NEAR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Posted: 6/27/2018 12:00 AM | The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrest 37-year-old Marcus Payne for selling methamphetamine out of a home located across the street from an elementary school in Arizona City. Payne’s arrest on Monday ended a two-month investigation. During a search of the home, investigators found a sellable amount of Meth, a scale, drug paraphernalia, a .22 caliber long rifle and ammunition. Payne was selling drugs just 250 feet away from Arizona City Elementary School. At the time of his arrest, three children were found inside the home. “We have a serious drug problem in this country, and it is disgusting to see a father selling a dangerous drug like meth right across the street from a school, but has children inside his home exposed to the drug. I commend our narcotics units for their efforts shutting down his operation and putting him behind bars.” Said Sheriff Mark Lamb. Payne is facing numerous drug charges to include: possession and sale of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, the sale of drugs within a school zone and misconduct involving a deadly weapon. Payne will also face child endangerment charges. | |
