On 6/10/2020, at approximate 6:20pm, a Pinal County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Deputy conducting traffic enforcement on Interstate 10, pulled over a passenger vehicle near Eloy for unsafe following distance and obstruction of view.

The vehicle was driven by 35-year old Marisela Velasquez of Phoenix, AZ.

During the traffic stop, the deputy noticed some inconsistencies. The driver consented to a search of the vehicle. Inside the deputy discovered one large bundle under the front passenger seat containing 30,000 blue M-30 fentanyl pills.

"Fentanly pills have quickly become one of the most frequently trafficked and seized drug in Pinal County. This bust is one of the largest PCSO deputies have seized to date," said Sheriff Mark Lamb. "Each one of these pills has the potential to take a life. We are proud of our team and the work they do to take these drugs off the streets."

Velasquez was booked into the Pinal County Jail for Possession of Narcotics.
