Pinal County to Resume Issuance of Open Burning Permits September 26, 2022.

Starting Monday, September 26th, Pinal County Air Quality will resume issuing open burning permits. The effective date of the permit will be October 1st. Open burning permits allow for the disposal of plant material originated on the permittees property during limited daytime hours.

Please Note: No residential open burning is allowed within the City of Maricopa or Town of Florence. Therefore no residential open burning permits will be issued for residences in the City of Maricopa or Town of Florence.

 

Open Burning Permits may be obtained:

1. In-person at the *NEW* Development Services Building, 85 N Florence St, Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM.

2. In-person using a Kiosk at the Mammoth office, 118 Catalina St. Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (Staff will be available to assist you if needed)

3. Online (Recommended method). Customers can apply 24 hours 7 days a week, however permits are only issued Monday–Friday from 8:00–4:30 and may take up to 24 hours to process. Online Permits can be attained at: https://citizenaccess.pinalcountyaz.gov/CitizenAccess/Default.aspx

Burn permits are not approved if:

  • The application is received by fax or email.
  • Prohibited materials are requested in the application.
  • The application is incomplete.
