ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS BOARD | Authority: A.R.S. §11-816 and Chapter 2.155 of the Zoning Ordinance Membership: Five Member Board. The Board shall be composed of no less than three and no more than five members, each of whom shall be a resident and taxpayer of the unincorporated area of the county. At least one member of the board shall be selected from each supervisory district. Term of Office: Four Years. Powers: The jurisdiction of the Board of Adjustment shall be throughout the unincorporated portions of Pinal County. The authority of said Board, shall extend only to the interpretation of the Zoning Ordinance, and to the granting of variances. | AGRICULTURE EXTENSION BOARD | Authority: A.R.S. §3-124 Membership: Seven Member Board. Seven public members, four of whom have as their principal business the production of agricultural commodities. The other three members must be representative of organizations or persons who use the County Agricultural Extension Services. Term of Office: Two Years. Powers: Provides input and sets priorities for educational programs and strategic directions for the faculty and staff of the County Cooperative Extension. Also approve the annual budget for the Extension and advocate for Cooperative Extension in their communities. | AIR QUALITY CONTROL HEARING BOARD | Authority: A.R.S. §49-478 Membership: Five Member Board. The five members shall be knowledgeable in the field of air pollution. At least one member of the board shall be an attorney licensed to practice law in this state. At least three members shall not have a substantial interest, as defined in section 38-502, in any person required to obtain a permit pursuant to this article. Term of Office: Three Years. Powers: Advise and consult with the board of supervisors, the control agency, and the control officer in effecting the purposes of this article. Term of Office: Concurrent with the term of the Supervisor who appointed member Powers: The Audit Committee’s primary purpose is to assist the Board of Supervisors in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities by reviewing and evaluating the County’s financial information, the established systems of internal controls, and the audit process. The Audit Committee will also provide for open communication between the Office of Internal Audit, the Arizona Office of Auditor General, and the Board of Supervisors.
