Pregnancy Crisis & Adoption Counseling
If you have an unexpected pregnancy, several options exist for you:
1. You Can Keep Your Baby
Can't afford your baby? Think again. Help exists on many levels. Federal, state
and private programs can help provide for your baby's basic needs. Being poor
does not have to prevent you from having a child.
Crisis Pregnancy Centers (see list) can help you explore the following
resources:
Child-Support Services
The father of a child is liable to assist in support of that child, even if the
father has offered to pay for an abortion.
WIC
Food and Formula for women with children and/or expecting a baby.
SNAP - "Food Stamps"
Giving you and your family the basic food and nutrition resources you need.
Food Shelves
Free food for families in need
(see
www.azfoodbanks.org)
Medicaid
To pay for medical bills associated with pregnancy and child health issues.
CHIP - Children's Health Insurance Programs
Pays for necessary medical expenses associated with raising a child.
Housing - Pinal County Housing Development
Offering temporary safe housing for qualified low-income people.
